Otium pulvinar satanæ? These dull grey days i learn vallader (Romansh dialect spoken in the Lower Engadine in Switzerland) i look for and translate house inscriptions from Rumantsch into Russian and English i play the paino i drink tea and coffee and eat fresh cheese i do exercises for the most weak parts of my body i prepare the course of lectures on the history of body in Ukrainian i try to finish my article on the sense of touch in the Corpus Hippocraticum in French i write letters in German English Russian and French. And all this is quite painful.  Because everything i do i do it just to overcome my laziness.

Die Wand - The Wall

This is a movie-landscape that was filmed in Austrian Alps. At the beginning it makes one think that it could not appear but in a first world country as it reflects some of the first world's problems that, to an outsider's eye, seem to be false. At the same time, it covers an important theme - not only about 'Traumorte', places one dreams about, but also, in a more general sense, about our human desire that always exсeeds what we have, desire for something more, desire that can never be satisfied: "the accepted reality of mankind, which people can't find, aren't allowed to find, and don't want to find". Any 'topos', any utopia transforms easily, with the touch of a human, into dystopia. Novel . Movie .
